OzGardens

Sobralia is one of the most interesting group of orchids having beautiful foliage and large, striking blooms.  With proper media preparation and appropriate climate (like the San Francisco Bay and the Monterey Bay areas), they can be grown in the garden.  Bruce Rogers of Bruce Rogers Orchids is one of the biggest Sobralia enthusiasts.  He had been growing, hybridizing and breeding these wonderful orchids for many  years before meeting Terry Root of The Orchid Zone.  Through his silver tongue and magnetic personality, Bruce was able to convince Terry the time was right to join forces, start a breeding program,  and bring these beauties to the general market.  They formed OzGardens in 2002 with Bruce wielding the toothpick and Terry, The Wizard of OZ, wielding the wand (the watering wand, that is).
